I wish to extend best wishes to the Morton Family and the Ref4Rett Organizing Committee as they prepare for the exciting Ref4Rett fundraising event on Saturday, January 26th. The Ontario Rett Syndrome Association (O.R.S.A.) is the largest not-for-profit provincial organization concentrating on Rett syndrome in Canada. O.R.S.A. has been funding Canadian research, educating the general public and supporting families and those living with Rett syndrome for over two decades. The funds raised from the Ref4Rett will support the establishment of the Canadian Rett Syndrome Registry and future Canadian RTT research. The registry will allow for future drug trials to begin in Canada. Research is vital so a treatment and/or cure for RTT can be discovery. It also allows for better understanding of the daily challenges our loved one face such as seizures, osteoporosis, dystonia and so much more. Thank you once again to everyone who is making the Ref4Rett a successful event. Together we are all “building healthier tomorrows” for all those courageously living with Rett syndrome!
Terry Boyd
President O.R.S.A.
